The Generic music convention codes employed by the magazine suggest that the target audience are girls varying from age 7-18. They appear to be the type of people to follow the crowd. Based on the image on front cover it is obvious that the target audience mostly white people even thought other races will read it. This goes back to Psychographics and Demographics. The Conventions I have analysed are the masthead and the main image. The masthead is in lower case and in Bright Colours and in the Main Image the couple is centred and the clothes that they are wearing are the same colours as the masthead.

The Generic music convention codes employed by the magazine suggest that the target audience are mixed gender, more of a mature age like 15-35. They are people who like to stand out and are most likely leaders. They seem like upper class people who have money. Based on the image it is obvious that the target audience is black although other races or culture might read it. This theory goes back to Psychographics and Demographics. The Conventions that I have analysed are the masthead and the main image. The masthead is bold and white (contrasting the colour theme which is dark and black) and the main images of the three people is properly framed and they are all black. and the gender is mixed.

Comparatively it is clear that both magazines have different intentions, purpose and target audience...
